Full day excursion starting in the morning at your hotel/airport or pier. See the Roman Hippodrome with obelisks and columns and visit the Underground Water Cistern at Sultanahmet Place. Later proceed to the Blue Mosque the magnificent mosque from the 17th century famous with its six minarets built by Sultan Ahmet. Later continue onto St. Sophia, Byzantine basilica of Holy Wisdom buily in the 5th century. After a lunch break visit the Topkapi Palace Museum, former residence of the Ottoman Sultans. The porcellain collection, the treasury and the Relics of Islam are the most important highlights of the palace. Return back to your hotel. IST02 : BOSPHORUS CRUISE

After breakfast drive down to the Galata Bridge and start your cruise along the Bosphorus, the natural waterway separating Asia from Europe. Many palaces, small parks and wooden houses are the highlights to be admired during this 2-hrs private motorboat cruise. Disembark at Sariyer and proceed to lunch with delicious seafood specialties. Later continue by midibus along the European side of Bosphorus and drive to the Rumeli Castle, a fortress built at the year 1452. Late afternoon proceed to the hotel.

IST03 : SPICE MARKET + GRAND BAZAAR + SOLIMAN MOSQUE + ISTIKLAL STREET

In the morning visit the Spice Market at the harbor. Later continue to the Grand Covered Bazaar, a colorful market, where you can see and buy handmade carpets of wool and silk, find reasonable gold & silver jewellery with precious stones as well as different souvenirs. After a lunch break proceed to the Soliman Mosque, built by Sultan Soliman in the 16th century. Later walk up the famous pedestrian street of Beyoglu, where the buildings are from the turn-of-the- century and you can find several cathedrals, food markets and street cafes & beer pubs. Return to your hotel.

IST04 : PRINCE ISLANDS & ASIAN CONTINENT

In the morning cruise by ferry to the biggest of the Prince Islands called Buyukada. Tour the island with a horse carriage and stop at a place to walk up to the St.George greek church at the highest hill to see the spectacular view of the city. Continue by carriage to the pier and return to the mainland at the Asian side. (Motor vehicles are prohibited) Drive along the Asian side with ample time at the fashion boulevard Bagdat Avenue and over the Bosphorus Bridge back to your hotel.

Depart from Izmir hotel or airport in the morning and proceed to Pergamon, one of the finest archaeological sites in Turkey. The city was a great center of culture of the East-Roman Empire. On the Acropolis there are numerous remains including the library, the steepest theatre of Asia Minor, the temples of Trajan and Dionysos, the fundaments of the monumental altar of Zeus. In the afternoon visit the Medical center of the ancient world, Asclepeion where the first pyschological therapy took place and which was dedicated to the God of Health Asclepios. Return to Izmir.

IZM03 : MILETOS - DIDYMA - PRIENE

Priene was one of the important cities of the Ionian Federation. The city is the oldest example of rectangular city planning. Miletos which has provided its alphabeth to the rest of the classical world, was a great trade port and the hometown of several philosophers. Finally Didyma's Temple of Apollo with its well-known oracles was one of the most sacred places of antiquity. After visiting all these three great cities of the Greco-Roman period return to Kusadasi or Izmir.

IZM04 : SARDIS

Depart from Izmir hotel or airport for Sardis, capital of ancient Lydia, where the money was invented. Here existed one of the churches of St.Paul. See the ruins of the temple of Diana, where a fourth century Basilica was added later. The reconstructed synagogue and the gymnasium are the superb samples of there type reflecting the ancient architecture.

IZM05 : PAMUKKALE

Depart from your hotel in Izmir or from the airport to Pamukkale, beautiful and spectacular natural site, unique in the world for its with travertine cliffs and cascade. There you will see the thermal spring water laden with calcereous salt forming the mountain-side with stalactites, cataracts and basins. The thermal water has been used since the Roman period for thermal therapy. After visiting the remains of the Roman city and the Necropolis return to Izmir.

ANTALYA
