The objective in this section is to introduce
Turkish Culture through works written about Turkey, and works in Turkish Literature.
The books you will find above are only a drop in
the ocean, yet, our list is growing everyday and we would be pleased very much if you
could also send us the names of your favourite books and suggestions.Some of the books are
published here, in Turkey, and some abroad; some of them are easy to get hold of, some
quite difficult or even out of print. Nevertheless we believe they have and do contribute
to the understanding of Turkey, Turkish Culture and Turks a great deal.
Needless to say, we had to include in our list
only those books that have been translated into English and other Foreign Languages. In
this context, we would like to express our regrets for this number being very small and
hopes for it to grow speedily along with the interest in Turkey. |
