The
Marble Way
The
Marble Way connects the theatre to the Library of Celsus. It assumed its
present-day appearance during the 5th century A.D. Drains were installed
throughout the whole length of the street in the form of lower galleries.
A few reliefs on the ground on the right hand side indicate the city
brothel. The reliefs include a left foot, the portrait of a woman and a
heart decorated with perforations. They are surrounded by an iron railing.
